I recently set up a Facebook fan page for my Los Angeles home staging company and I'm starting to populate it with useful home staging information and posts about Los Angeles and Pasadena real estate. I'm adding my home staging before and after pictures in photo albums.
I've found both Facebook and Twitter are very effective in driving traffic to my website and blog.
Here's a link if you'd like to become a fan. Let me know in the comments below if you have a Facebook page and I'll reciprocate.

I'm one of your biggest fans! Not really into Twitter yet...but if I do I'll follow you there also! Do I sound like a stalker? LOL...just a fan of your work!
I am now a fan Michelle! I just created a facebook fan page for Simply Staged too. :)
Donna: Thank you! You are very generous with your praise. If I tweet my blog posts, the visitors to my web site doubles and sometimes triples. I'm just getting into Facebook, but I have already started getting people coming to my website from Facebook. Its all good!
Michele: Thanks! And now I will become your fan too:o))
Michele: OK, now I'm a fan of your business page. There is a way to shorten the url to your fan page. Mine is http://www.facebook.com/movingmountainsdesign. Open your fan page and look at the URL and you will see what I mean. I did it somehow, but I can't remember how. I will look up the information and post it here.
Hi Michelle - I am now officially a fan on your fan page in addition to being a fan of your blog. My page is at Susan Neal Fine Properties and I'd love to have you as one of my fans. I'm glad your efforts on line are paying off for you.
Susan: Done! Thank you! One can never have too many fans :o)
OK, here's how to get a Facebook URL with your name or your company name (for example www.Facebook.com/MovingMountainsDesign )
Go to www.Facebook.com/username/ and click on "set a user name for my pages". You are supposed to have 100 fans in order to do this, but I think they have lowered the minimum. Keep in mind that once you set a username or a shortened URL you cannot change it so choose wisely and make sure everything is spelled correctly.
I am one of your biggest fans, professionally and personally! You are incredibly talented, inspiring and I am fortunate to know you.
Cathy Lee: You know I feel the same way about you. (Now I'm blushing)
Michelle, I can only repeat 100 times over what the others above have said. I subscribe to your posts and actually find them insightful and informative. I'm working on my FB page and will send you a link later.
Thank you Kathy. Make sure you give me the link to your Facebook page.
I too have been a huge fan of yours, Michelle. You've contributed to this industry in so many ways!
Kathy
P.S. Thanks for the instructions on how to shorten the URL.
I just became a fan, too! I also recently started a FB page for my company. Glad to hear you are getting traffic to your website through FB.
Kathy, right back at ya', Girlfriend! If you need help with your URL, just ask;o))
Thanks Diana. I'll reciprocate
Welcome to AR Lina. If you have any questions, just ask!
Michelle,
As you know I also have a fan page. My URL is http://www.facebook.com/DesignToMarket I am always happy to find new fans! I recently created my URL. The number is now 25 fans to get the permission to create a "vanity" URL.
