Los Angeles Home Staging - An Altadena Home Staging Video

Los Angeles Home Staging - An Altadena Home Staging Video - Officially my first Flip Home Staging Video!

This is a video of a home we staged last week in Altadena, CA. I've had my Flip camera for a while (I accosted many of you with it at the RESA International Home Staging Conference in Las Vegas at the end of January :o)

This is a quickie video. I'm still learning about all the ins and outs of the Flip and the editing process.

I hope you enjoy!

For more information about this home and to see still photos and a couple of slide shows see Altadena Home Staging An Occupied Home.

Neat video, Michelle!  I actually just got a flip phone also and am having fun with it (mostly with the kids so far).  I love the unedited comment.... "clunk" :P And didn't the home have an offer before the article could even go to print?! Great for business!

Hi Connie:

As far as I know, the house is in escrow. They started receiving offers within 24 hours of the first open house.

Michelle, your first flip video looks great!  And so does the staging, especially the living room.

How did you embed the youtube video on this blog?  I can't find a way to do so.

Thanks.

Donna: I first uploaded the video to YouTube. There is a place on the YouTube screen to copy the "embed" code. Then you paste the embed code into the Active Rain write a post screen after clicking on the html tab. Always save as a draft before clicking between html & the wysiwyg screen or you will lose your work up until that point.

If this isn't clear, you can call me and I'll talk you through it.

Michelle, You did a fabulous job with the video and, of course, the staging!  The house became a home right in front of my eyes and I always watch your careful placement and colors you choose.  Loved it and makes me want to make videos myself.

Carole: I was inspired by the video you posted of the martial arts studio. I've had pieces of this video on my Flip for a week or so, and finally decided to do something with it. Not perfect, but its a learning process. Thank you for your kind compliment.

Michelle- I WANT ONE!!! I've been debating on getting a FLIP but now I know I need/want one.  I loved being able to see the Staging process and of course, the finished project.

This so great MM. Ryan and I have taped 8 episodes and have never posted. This has given me inspiration to get going.  Thank you so much for the kick in the booty. Now we just need to find the time to post.:)

Kathy: It is so simple and easy to use. I keep it in my purse all the time. Its about the size of a deck of cards. If you can afford it, get the HD model (high definition). The technology is changing so rapidly, if you buy the original Flip, it will be out of date very quickly.

LKP: I had a slow day today, so I played around with video. I look forward to seeing your videos.

I love the house too and your staging! How did you embed the video? I've tried for hours.  Maybe when I'm down next month you will show me??

Okay, the very reason why I upgraded from a Nikon D80 to a D90 was to leverage the video capability.  Have I used it yet?  Nope. Shame on me.

Not only is the video great but your staging is superb (as always).

Congratulations. Your home staging is being featured in the group Staging Before and After Pictures.

Lynda: Thank you for the compliment! I'll take it!

Thank you Kathy Burke.

Nancy: If I didn't love my own house so much, I would have seriously considered putting in an offer on this one. It just had a really good vibe. Thank you.

Cathy Lee: Read my response #4 to Donna above. Just remember to click the HTML tab in the edit post screen and remember to save as a draft before switching between HTML and WYSIWYG or your work will be lost. If you need more help, just call me.

Thanks for sharing this video.  It's fun to see another stager's work beyond just before and after photos.  We've been wanting to put together more behind the scenes looks as well.  Take care!

Michelle, your instructions made perfect sense and were perfectly clear. I've always been afraid of that "html" tab.  But I did what you said, and it worked!  I updated my most recent blog with the video from you tube, which was there already.  Thanks!

David: I think non-stagers (our clients) enjoy seeing what we do and I know I like to see other stagers in action. I look forward to seeing your videos.

Donna: I'm glad it worked. Just remember to always save as a draft before switching between screens or your work may be lost.
