Penelope Cruz, Call Me... We Need To Talk!

Penelope Cruz, call me...We need to talk!

Penelope Cruz just listed her Hollywood Hills home for sale for $3,695,000 according to Realtor.com. If you click on the link, you can see photos of the home. According to reports I've read on-line, Penelope hasn't spent much time time there, as its been leased out and is available for film shoots.

OK, here's why Penelope needs to call me: take a look at the photos of the interior of her home. The home is beautiful, as are most of the furnishings, but its crying out for some accessorizing, plants and artwork, in my personal opinion. I think Penelope's house needs some Los Angeles home stager love. And the sickly looking plants have to go!

Perhaps, Penelope didn't hear that I staged a $6.9 million house in Beverly Hills last week using the home owner's furniture and my home staging accessories and artwork. Maybe she didn't hear that the homeowner received an offer after the first open house. And maybe she doesn't know I can stage almost any style of home, from traditional to contemporary to Hollywood Hills Balinese.

So, Penelope, if you want a better shot at selling your beautiful home faster and maybe for more money, give me a call. I think I can help!

Good luck Michelle...I too hope she calls you. I look forward to the blog about your experience staging her house. It'll be a great read for us all here on ActiveRain.

They definitely need help from a professional home stager ... the location looks great, but the house looks very tired, poorly presented online, and not worth its price tag.   Good luck ....

Thanks, John. I'd love to be able to post before and after photos of that project :o))

I agree Maureen. The photos weren't great either, IMO. I can't imagine listing a $3+million home and not having better photos.

Michelle, the living room walls are crying out for some artwork and those blank, empty sofas desperately need some colourful cushions.  Oh dear, they need you - Stager to the Stars!

Oh Michelle, I so feel your pain on this one. This house looks ok, but (especially) at this price, buyers want aspirational. It looks, dare I say, bland. And that's a real shame as their are some lovely features.

The place just needs a little bit of lovin' up and you'd be perfect for the job.

So hope she calls you.

Why don't you call her?

Maybe if she is on Google alerts she will see this post and call.

I am stunned.  I hope she calls you.  I hope she calls somebody who understands staging.  I hope those houses photos are not 'afters' and someone already 'staged' it.

No wonder she is selling... Depressing!  You NEED to call her listing agent!

Posted by Yvonne Marquez over 8 years ago

I agree with Cathy Lee.  I think YOU should call HER.  As you said, it's a beautiful home. I know definitively that you could work some staging magic!

Sally & Donna: I agree!

Cathy Lee: Do you have her number? Email me:o))

Bob & Carolin: I doubt Penelope looks at her Google alerts, but maybe her assistant will

Nancy: I seriously doubt the home has been staged, but the photos are not the best, regardless.

Yvonne: I've considered calling or emailing the listing agent. I think I will.

Kathy: I guess I'll have to track her down. I'd love to make her home look desireable.

Michelle- Get in there and work your magic!!!  After viewing the exterior, the interior is a let down.  The potential is there but you know what it needs.  Go for it, and then let us see the "afters".

Oh yes this house definitely needs your outstanding work Michelle.  Hopefully she's not banking on selling it just because of her name.  Call!

Posted by Ginger Foust, Home Stager Oakhurst CA, Dream Interior Redesign & Staging (Certified Staging Professional) over 8 years ago

Yes, Michelle, ths house needs you. Do you know the listing agent? I'd call and set up a meeting with them.

Posted by Linda Thompson (Selling By Design-Staging) over 8 years ago

Kathy S.: I'm going to look up the agent and get right on that!

Ginger: There is definitely a celebrity factor when selling a home here in LA. It gets 'em in the door, but it won't make 'em sign an offer.

Linda: I'm working on it.

I agree with you! And I know you'll take care of the dead plants!

Posted by Debra Landy, PA and NY Home Stager (StageTwoSell LLC) over 8 years ago

Even I know enough to have at least hung some pretty towels in the bathroom...LOL!  Hope you are successful in getting in touch with the agent and giving poor Penelope the boost her house needs :)

Posted by Lisa Heindel, New Orleans Real Estate Broker (Crescent City Living LLC) over 8 years ago

Well if you dont know how to contact her publicist or manager-contact her Realtor and offer your services!! They truly need you if they want to sell this home. The dead palm tree is pathetic.

Posted by Cathy Lee, ASP, IAHSP, RESA Danville, CA (CL Design Services Home Staging) over 8 years ago

Debra: What were they thinking?

Lisa: The house looks barren. I'm sending the agent an email this morning.

Cathy Lee: Will do. I  agree.

Good luck MM!  I would DEFINITELY phone the Realtor....you would work wonders with that property!  Brrrrng....brrrng on the Home Stager!!

Celebrities may sell a movie, but $15.00 for a ticket is much less than $3M plus for a home.  Staging works at all price levels and there is a great canvas here to work with.  Sending postive thoughts your way!  You should call her Realtor.

Good golly Miss Molly....I am still shaking my head!

All of you are right--the photos AND the plants leave so much to be desired.  Where is the "WOW" that we expect from such a beautiful property?

Any luck, Michelle?
