As a part of the series My Favorite Home Staging Photos, I'm posting my favorite before and after home staging transformation photos.
These photos were part of a Pasadena home staging project in which I was hired not only to stage, but also to help the homeowner get organized and get rid of years of accumulation of clutter.
Here's the daughter's bedroom before:

This shot was taken after we had spent a couple of hours clearing the floor just so we could walk in the room. Nothing was added and nothing was stacked on something else. This is just how the desk looked when we arrived. We had to clear out the room (after sorting everything) so the painters could get in and paint.

This is the same room (believe it or not) after staging. The rest of the house was equally challenging and equally transformed. I will always remember this job as one of my greatest triumphs. It wasn't the prettiest staging job, but its the one that had the greatest impact.
What is your favorite before and after photos of a home staging transformation? Please post your before and after photos in the comments.

Very nice transformation on the bedroom. You did a terrific job. It looks like it was a lot of work.
Thanks Vicki. Normally, we are finished staging in a few hours, but this house took 5 days of intesive hands on work.
Wow, what a transformation!
Here is one of my favorites ... some times it's hard to believe it's the same room. The only inventory we used was the bedding. Amazing what you can find underneath all that other stuff!
Wow, Liz, that's quite a transformation. I bet the homeowners were thrilled.
Hi Michele - as always your transformations and stagings are fantastic. Here is one of my transformations using homeowner's furnishings.
Great job, Mannie. You transformed a collection of clutter into a lovely living room.
Michelle, I can so relate to the "before" photo. It looks just like my daughter's room, except you can't see the floor in her room...
Michelle: love this series! This was a fourth bedroom/study. You may not be able to see it but the bottom part of the wall is painted a deep rose color. The family had health problems as well but were D.I.Y. sellers, so after my consultation, they did it all themselves. Is it perfect? No but it was enough to get 2 offers the first week and a working contract in 5 weeks.
Ahhhhh. I love this stuff! Ok, I will try to find sometime tomorrow to post. We have 5 destagings and 2 stagings this week... and I need a Calgon moment right now. Laters.....
Sally: This was a teenage girl's room. You couldn't see the floor when we first got there. All in all, we took 2 pick-up loads to the dump, a very large Goodwill pick-up, filled all the trash cans, and still had to call 1-800-GotJunk. But I loved every minute:o))
Kathy: It doesn't have to be perfect, just effective. Your recommendations were obviously strong enough and clear enough for your clients to "get it".
LKP: Busy Girl! We'll be patient.
I'm with Sally (#7). The before picture of the daughter's room looks better than my daughter's room currently. Great job - you should be very proud.
Thanks Rhonda. Give your daughter a deadline and tell her everything that is on the floor after that date (with the exception of furniture and shoes) is getting donated to Goodwill or going to the dump. Once she sees you mean it, you will see a marked improvement in the orderliness of her room. Don't threaten...you will only have to do it once!
What a great transformation!
Here is my favorite before and after picture:
Great job Michelle!
Wow, that is a big change Kate!
Thanks, Kimberly.
