$4.5 million home staged in Encino CA by Moving Mountains Design Home Staging.
This week Moving Mountains Design Home Staging had the absolute pleasure of staging a luxury estate in Encino, CA. This new construction Mediterranean home located "South of the Boulevard" (code word for "the right side of the tracks") was built with the finest quality hand hewed black walnut hardwood floors, granite, marble and imported tile. I love working with this builder because they spare no expense in building their homes and they are beautiful. Here is a link to a Sherman Oaks home we staged for this builder, which recently sold.
The lovely and talented Terri Lucas, Exclusive Home Staging drove all the way up from Redondo Beach to work with me on this project. We have a great time working together and she is always full of energy and great ideas. I am very grateful for her assistance and the pleasure of her company and look forward to driving down to help her out on one of her projects.

Michelle,
I just need to know. How much and what rooms did you stage? The home looks elegant.
Just lovely! The carpets look luscious!
Rental furniture or your own inventory?
Beautiful staging. What a wonderful opportunity, I hope this job brings you more business.

Kevin: The rooms we staged are as follows -
I don't discuss the cost of the staging, as I think that is private information. If the my client (the person paying) wants to discuss it it is fine with me. It was much less expensive than you would think. I always give my clients great value for the money:0))
Tom: I rent most of my furniture from Brook, but I do have some inventory to cover the pieces they don't have (like a 7' long French oak farm house table I used in the Breakfast Room) or accent pieces like an Indonesian Teak coffee table and a few Chinese antiques. Brook has just gotten several new pieces which I used in the Living Room, Gentleman's Den.
Thank you Joyce, and thanks for commenting.
Michelle- I really like the amount of staging you do--enough but not too much! The house looks beautiful! Warm, soft colors, and a transitional style which should appeal to everyone. Bet it doesn't last long!
Elaine: It is always difficult to strike the right balance of just enough, but not too much. The bigger the house, the more difficult it gets. I hope it doesn't last long - that would be awesome if it sold quickly. Thanks for your kind comments.
Wow! Wish I HAD been there to help with this one....on 2nd thought, the idea of that daunting driveway leads me to think otherwise ;-). Under such circumstances you pulled it off flawlessly! Here's to another quick sale!
Another fantabulous job by the multi talented Michelle Minch! I echo the comment of Elaine Manes...
Connie: I wish you had been there. We could have used the help. I lost 5 lbs. (literally) on Wednesday just from lugging stuff up and down the driveway and stairs. There is an elevator in the house (of course), but it had not been inspected yet and we couldn't use it. Open house on Tuesday, 11-2. I'll be there. Stop by if you have a chance.
Karen: Thanks Karen. You are a sweetheart.
Michelle - Beautiful - Beautiful Job! Wishing you and your client a speedy sale. Keep us posted. 4 million - that's impressive, it would scare me to death.
What a gorgeous home and beautiful staging! Best wishing for a successful sale quickly. This home looks lovely!
Debbie: Thank you so much. I hope it sells quickly also. It's not difficult to do a $4 million+ house. It just takes careful planning and the right accessories and furniture
Thank you, Cathy. I am grateful to be able to work on such a beautiful house.
The staging really reflects the price of the property. Great job!
Michelle - It looks really great. I love those sitting chairs in the gentleman's den!
Tanya: Aren't those chairs great? They are a brand spaking new chair that Brook is carrying. Leather wingback chairs. They are not cheap, but they were right for this house. Thanks for commenting.
Michelle - your staged homes amaze me! It is gorgeous! I just wish I could have made it up there. Everything is always managed to run so smooth. Thanks for all you do.
Diane Concialdi
Michelle - Gorgeous work from a top notch professional home stager! And.. how neat that Terri was able to join you.
Kathy
Diane: Sorry you couldn't join us. Thanks for your kind comments.
Kathy: Terri is always fun to have around and she is a great help. I'm glad she was there. Thanks for commenting.
What a beautiful job. Your furniture selection is so impressive! Those leather wing backs are beautiful. Perfect balance; just enough - I love it.
Thank you Amber.
This is a different look for you. Great fun to see it! I love the color palette chosen, presumably to offset the walnut floors. You've got a splendid balance between summer neutrals and Fall glow... the perfect way to do August!! Natch! <sigh> Lovely to see a pro at work.....
Very tasteful staging, clean and refined. Good luck I am sure it will help move the sale.
Michelle another beautiful staging job. The amount of planning you do in order to showcase your beautiful homes is part of the reason your staging is always drop dead gorgeous. I'm sure this home had lots of interest at the open house today. Please keep us updated. Betty
Love the warm colors flowing from room to room, with excellent furnishings selected for the potential buyer demographic. Top notch, Michelle.
Juliette: Brook got some new furniture in, so I am able to do some more different looks. The walnut floors are so deep and rich - I love them. Thanks for your kind comments.
Jennifer: I hope you are right. Thank you.
Betty: Thank you. More than planning, being well organized is key. My warehouse is way more organized and neater than my own home. The house was pretty full at the open house today. Our fingers are crossed.
Kathy R: Thank you so much. I try to make sure that each room flows into the next, even in smaller homes. It makes the rooms seem larger.
Another beautiful staging Michelle. You truly have a gift.
Thank you, Tom. You are too kind.
Aloha Michelle,
In regards to the Gentlemans Den, peach and dark brown are one of my favorite color combos add the burnt orange with the dark wood and the space becomes very masculine, cohesive, and warm. Great work as usual.
Peace,
Michelle, it was a great house to work on and it turned out beautifully. As a true professional your company orchestrated the home staging flawlessly. Let me know how the open house goes.
Thank you Kimo. I'm glad you liked it and I appreciate that you noticed the details.
Terri: There were a lot of people at the open house - some RE heavy hitters, and the usual looky-loos. It went very well. Now we'll wait and see what happens. Thank you again for your assistance. It was greatly appreciated.
Michelle- Another great staging job! I love your work.
Thanks, Marla. I'm glad you like it.
This is probably the best staging I have EVER seen! Awesome, over the top, PERFECT!
Wow, Connie, now I am blushing. Thank you!
Michelle, I love the warm and soothing colors you used. You did a beautiful job...love the attention to detail! Gorgeous...as always!
Teresa
