Great idea, Michelle. Count me in!
Kathy
Kathy: I'm excited you'll be joining us. Feel free to invite any of your architect friends. It is a great opportunity to write about their architecture projects.
Michelle ~ Sounds interesting! I'll join.
Michelle, while I am an inspector now I was a design/build general contractor for more than 30 years so I hope I can participate in the group too:)
Congratulations on your new group! I am an agent but your group will encourage more blogs which I love to read.
hi Michelle, I know how difficult it can be to get a new group off the ground but this has a real nice sharp focus to it, best of luck!
Kathy P: Please join. You are most welcome
Charles: Your input on these topics will be welcome
Jean: I hope you will check on our posts often. I anticipate the posts will be very interesting
Marti: I think this group will take on a life of its own. There are many interior designers who are also home stagers on AR. This group will allow them to showcase their interior design knowledge and work. Thanks for the good wishes.
I'm In! I would love to be able to post about interior design projects I have going that don't pertain to "staging". Speaking of which, I hear you have a couple big bathroom remodels going on...can we share there? =)
Great, Connie. I was going to send you an invite to join. Glad you found the group. I have 2 HUGE bathroom remodels I am working on. One is $50,000+ and the other is about $70,000. Still working on the budget. I will be doing numerous post about the process of these bathroom remodels.
Michelle, sounds like it will definitely be an interesting and informational group!
Michelle, sounds like it will be an interesting and informative group. I do redesign work, but refer large design and reno jobs to a local licensed interior designer. My focus, expertise and interest is staging. Besides, I will be the first to admit I do not have the skill set or training for space planning, renovations, removing walls, etc. for those more complicated jobs. I hold much respect for those talented and trained to do both. I will certainly pop in to read the posts in this group as I am sure there will be much offered here.
Tanya: I hope so. Please feel free to add to the knowledge base about interior design or architecture.
Michele: I became a stager as a result of my interior design work. I work consistently in both areanas. I love staging because I like the pace of the work, I get to make all the decisions about what looks best without having to worry about whether or not it suits the client's lifestyle and my work has an immediate and very visible impact on the appearance of a home. I love interior design because I like to see a project develop from beginning to end, I get to work with much bigger budgets and the work I do makes a significant difference in the livability and functionality of my clients' homes. In the end, I get a lot of enjoyment from both disciplines because they allow me to be helpful in significant ways. I look forward to seeing you in the Designers and Architects group.
Can ID students join too - If so, I'm in!
Tosha: Yes, of course. Just keep any posts on topic. Welcome!
Thanks for introducing us to this group. I do a lot of projects outside of staging, so will look forward to future posts.
Great idea.
I will definitely join. It will be refreshing to read and post about structural changes and materials selected prior to the decorating!
Leah: I look forward to hearing about your projects.
Dane: You have a lot of knowledge and experience to offer. I look forward to reading about your projects.
this needed to be bumped back up ;-D
Thanks Connie. I have been so slammed that I haven't had time to add any posts to the group. We are starting to get a lot of subscribers to the group (thank you to all that have joined) Hopefully, I will get the ball rolling by this weekend.
If you know any designers or architects that you think will benefit from either joining AR or the Designers and Architects group, have them sign up. If they sign up with a link you provide, you get points, plus a percentage of any points they earn.
This is a well needed group.................. Great Idea
Michaell, This is a very interesting group and while I am not a Architect or designer I have built many of my own planed homes. I look forward to joining.
Donald Joe Eichler
Jeffery: I hope you will add to the knowledge pool.
Don: The group is open to on-topic posts about interior and landscape design and architecture and architectural design. You don't have to be an architect or designer to post.
Michelle, Looks like another great group for me to learn from. I look forward to posted projects.
Thanks Donna. Slowly but surely we are growing the group.
How did I miss this? Count me in for sure ;)
Get on it girl. Show us some of those houses you are designing for the Kings players (or should I say playas'?)
Thanks Michelle! I'm looking forward to reading everyone's posts!
Thanks Shannon. I look forward to seeing you there.
Whoohoo! Absolutely. I can show pics.... but no information about who, what, when, or where. That's what happens with HPCs. (High profile clients) ;))))
I'm working on one of those myself:o))
bump =)
Thanks Connie. I'll be posting an update on my two bathroom remodels in the near future.
Terrific idea, Michelle -- thank you so much for inviting me! Architecture and design...my top two interests! I look forward to the upcoming posts. Leslie
Leslie: You are most welcome. I hope you will post some of your design projects.
This is a great decision on AR's part. Not only does it bring in more traffic to AR, but also people such as myself who serve the design industry.
I just found your group, wow, it's been here for a year. I wish AR had some alert system to when new groups form.
