Staged Pasadena home sells in 5 days!
I called the Listing Agent of a Pasadena cottage we staged 2 weeks ago, just to check in and lend support where needed. The listing agent told me that they got an offer after 5 days on the market and the house was now in escrow! The listing agent paid for the staging and we only staged the living room, dining room and kitchen to keep costs down. It is rare for the LA to pay for the staging, at least among the agents I work with, but this listing agent and her investor client have an ongoing relationship with multiple buys and sales between them. The house was a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house that is owned by an investor who fixes and flips 'em and was listed for $840,000.00.
This was such a small, quickie job for us, I didn't even take before and after photos. I guess I'll have to do that when we destage.
The moral of the story? Real Estate staging by Moving Mountains Design helps sell homes quickly, even in this depressed market.

So wish you had photos. If you didn't take the staging out, maybe you can do Before as staged and After as when you empty it. Kind of in reverse, but would work.
I feel like an amateur for not taking any photos. It was such a small job. Tiny. But it did the trick, and thats all that matters. Thanks for commenting.

Michelle your small jobs are my average jobs, but none-the-less we'd all like to see your photos. Great news about the sale. Don't you wish that agents would let us know these things. I don't think that they realize how important news like this is to us and how excited we get when we finally hear it.
Maureen: I have never staged and not done the master bedroom. I know I would be disappointed if I went into a beautifully staged home and the master wasn't done. I'm very glad it worked out the way it did.
Connie: I didn't take pictures because it was such a small job and the listing agent wanted to take her own photos. I won't make that mistake again.
Carole: Thank you. Actually I have had my staging projects sell at the open house so this is not a record. However, I am glad to see that such a quick sale is still possible even in this market.

Kym: I really like working with this listing agent. She gets her clients to price their property realistically and she pushes them to have the home staged. In my book she is doing everything the right way and it shows in her sales numbers.
